Grief and Loss Counseling
Overview
Grief does not follow a fixed timeline. Loss can include death of a loved one, divorce, job loss, health changes, caregiving loss, infertility, loss of a pet, and major life transitions. The APA notes that grief can include emotional, physical, anxious, and future-oriented distress, and that licensed professionals can help build resilience and coping strategies.
How Brighter Path can help
Counseling can provide space to process loss, manage guilt or regret, adjust to life changes, and find ways to continue living while honoring what has been lost. Our providers tailor support to the kind of loss you are facing and where you are in the process.
